Homemade Gifts Make Priceless Memories

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you and your family enjoyed the good weather and gave Mom a special day. It’s been fun to hear about the many ways moms are being celebrated. And I’m especially impressed to hear about many gifts that cost little to no money! Trust me, Mom is happiest if you aren’t stressing out about spending a lot on a gift.

A woman named Tenneva Jordan is credited with a great quote about moms: “A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.” It’s so true! Mom just wants her family to be happy, not financially stressed.

With that in mind, the most popular (and affordable) Mother’s Day gift I heard about today was breakfast in bed. Yum! This is always a fun way to make someone’s day special — and it doesn’t break the bank!

So, with Father’s Day just a few weeks away — and with the many birthdays and events coming up throughout the year — I offer you some recipes that you can make for under $20. Serve with a homemade card and a hug, and you will have priceless memories for all occasions.

What special recipe did you make for Mom?
